COMPETITION CONVENOR

SATURDAYS

Softball ACT is seeking up to three (3) persons interested in Competition Management to take on a role on Saturdays at:

  • Junior teeball/softball at both Belconnen (Hawker)
  • Junior teeball/softball at Woden (Mawson), and
  • Womens’ Softball on Saturday afternoons at Belconnen (Hawker)

Roles will be for the entire season (Oct-Mar), and will include basic competition management within a policy framework, on-ground delivery of competitions and setup/packdown roles as required.

Applicants should have a current First Aid Certificate.

FACILITIES OFFICER

PERMANENT PART-TIME

$20/hr

Softball ACT is seeking a Facilities Officer to assist with the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the Hawker International Softball Centre for approximately 30hrs/week over the Softball season. 

Days required include Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, with increased exposure and work during tournaments required. 

Duties include maintenance of the three (3) international-standard diamonds within the Hawker Softball Centre, marking external diamonds on government fields, general maintenance and other tasks associated with the role as directed by management. 

Applicants must have a valid Working With Vulnerable People check.

DIAMOND-BALL CLINIC STAFF

PROGRAM STAFF

$20/clinic

Softball ACT is seeking clinic staff to deliver our Diamond-Ball program on Saturday mornings at junior teeball/softball at both Belconnen (Hawker) and Woden (Mawson).

Clinics will run for one (1) hour for eight (8) weeks starting in October, and a program will be provided that the staff member can tailor to their own needs if required. 

Applicants should have a L1 Softball Coach qualification and a valid Working With Vulnerable People check.

WEEKEND CASUAL

CASUAL

Fielders Choice ACT is seeking the appointment of two suitable persons to manage  the Pro Shop located at Hawker International Softball Centre on Saturday’s during the 2018/19 season.

The shop will be open from 9.00am and close 4.00pm every Saturday that Softball will is played.  There will be two shifts AM and PM, duties will include maintaining a clean and presentable shop, ensuring stock items are kept at agreed levels and sale of stock items.

Staff will need to be courteous, present well and have a reasonable knowledge of stock for sale.

DEVELOPMENT STAFF

CASUAL

$30/hr sessions

Softball ACT is seeking development officers to deliver school clinics on a casual basis with connected schools and community groups. We are looking to build a network of potential candidates to be offered roles as they appear, working primarily during school hours across the ACT. 

Applicants must have a L1 Softball Coach qualification and a valid Working With Vulnerable People check.
