PRESIDENT

Frank’s experience in Softball and professionally is far reaching. A retired senior manager in the public service with over 35 years of people management and leadership experience, Frank has spent a great deal of that time in various sports with all kinds of roles, and has returned to Softball ACT for his second term as President.

NATHAN BALE

ELECTED DIRECTOR

Nathan has been a long-term Softball player for a number of years, and represented the ACT as part of highly successful 89ers from 1997-2001. Nathan’s background is in trades, where he operates a successful renovations business, however has been a driving force behind the emergence of Softball ACT from financial and cultural obscurity.

SAM IRVINE

APPOINTED DIRECTOR

Currently the General Manager of Sponserve – Australia, Sam has over 12 years of experience in the sport and commercial industries. Having been involved with sporting bodies at numerous levels (national, state and local), as well as a number of years experience with government, Sam brings a wealth of operational and strategic experience and knowledge to Softball ACT, particularly in the key area of strategic partnership arrangements.

ROB MEDLICOTT

APPOINTED DIRECTOR

Formerly a chartered accountant, Rob’s 12 years at the NSW Institute of Sport started in 2001 managing the track and field program, with later roles included coordinating coach development across sport and managing Sport Science and Medicine. In 2013 Rob and his family moved to Canberra to join the AIS as Head of Athlete Pathways and Development, and he’s currently the Deputy Director – AIS Operations.

NIGEL WOODWARD

ELECTED DIRECTOR

As a qualified lawyer, Nigel has experience in commercial, civil, employment and family law, and is working on the development of national harmonised laws across jurisdictions. He has skills, experience and accreditation in mediation and dispute resolution, where his goal is always mutually beneficial outcomes.

Jeanne is an accomplished management consultant specialising in strategic planning, organisational design and change management, and business process design/redesign.

Jeanne’s expertise is in a people oriented environment leading transformational change from concept to completion.

Shaun has been involved in Softball as either a player, parent, coach or administrator for close to 40 years. He bring a strong events management background to Softball ACT, having led a number of key events domestically and overseas. Having been absent from Softball for a number of years, Shaun is very motivated to see our sport thriving once again.
