People of the Pride

The Canberra Pride is a development program run by the members, for the members.

Softball ACT drives the strategic direction, transparency, and houses the program – but it’s our volunteer administrators that really do the bulk of the work in organising players, coaches, umpires and statisticians, booking training and ensuring the teams are ready to go for each tournament.

Each year in April/June, Softball ACT will seek the engagement of suitably qualified and dedicated individuals to assist driving the operations of the Canberra Pride!

Our program is currently administered by the following key individuals –

Natalie Bale –

Nat’s background in softball is extensive and varied – a junior player herself who’s graduated to some-time Women’s League player, her passion lies in the effective administration of our sport across a wide variety of platforms to better provide for our members.

Having held key administration roles with both the Woden Giants and Woden Valley Softball Association over a number of years, Nat’s enduring legacy with Softball in the ACT can be seen within her work in helping to establish and administer the highly successive Canberra Eclipse program, a forerunner to the Canberra Pride.

Janelle Carter –

Janelle has been involved with Softball in the ACT since the age of 8.  She played in the local A Grade competition for 20 years and represented the ACT in the early 1990’s.

She has been involved in the local junior competition for the past 5 years and has been a key administrator of our former boy’s development program, the Canberra Force!

She coaches in the local Northside league and is one of Softball ACT’s most dedicated volunteers.

If you are interested in becoming an administrator in the program, please contact ceo@act.softball.org.au to find out more.

Please note that the administrators for 2019/20 have been appointed.
