Ben started with Softball ACT in August 2017, and comes with a strong background in sports governance and development.

His work profile includes a considerable period with the Australian Sports Commission and other State-based sporting bodies, and he brings a wealth of experience and networking ability that has positioned Softball ACT for a bright future.

A keen touch football participant, Ben established what has grown to be the largest touch club in Canberra in 2009, and is currently still an active member of the FIT Events Commission, having carriage of international events for Touch.

He has a young family, and when he’s not elbow deep in Softball matters, can be found at various parks and local shops around the Gungahlin area that he calls home.

Michael started with Softball in April 2018 as part of a whole-of-sport restructure, and comes to Softball ACT with a background in events, development and high performance sport.

Michael’s role is primarily based around the development of our junior participant base and the smooth operation and administration of our domestic competitions.

Currently still working as a sessional academic with the University of Canberra, Michael’s connections and networking ability will open doors for Softball ACT with the tertiary education sector in a wide variety of areas.

A Canberra local, Michael’s passions include education, good coffee and sport, particularly focused towards football (soccer), where he has been heavily involved not only as a player, but as a high level club administrator.
