The Board of Softball ACT (SACT) are very pleased to welcome Ben Kirk to the organisation as our new Chief Executive Officer.
The transition to a full-time CEO role was part of an identified push by the Board towards extending the Softball ACT office’s capability to service our members and grow the sport.
Ben is a highly experienced sports administrator with experience across club, state, national and international roles, and comes to SACT after spending several years working with National Sporting Organisations at the Australian Sports Commission (ASC). His experience includes club, association and workforce development (players, coaches, officials and volunteers), governance and strategic planning, as well as operational management around competitions, events and tournaments.
Ben started with Softball ACT on 1 August, and has been busy getting acquainted with the sport, office and many of our valuable volunteers – make sure you introduce yourself to him and make him feel welcome as the season starts to get closer!
