Expressions of interest are being sought for both boys and girls interested in playing at the U14s NSW State Championships.

Softball ACT will attempt to place teams in both the boys and girls competition. 

Canberra Pride is a participation-based program for enjoyment and development of our junior players. 

Championship Dates:  17th-18th September 2022

Venue (Boys): Stanhope Gardens Reserve

Host Affiliate (Boys): Cumberland Nepean Softball Association

Venue (Girls): Jacquie Osmond Reserve

(Station Street, Warwick Farm NSW 2170)

Host Affiliate (Girls): Southern Districts Softball Association

The EOI will strictly close Friday 1st July 2022, to meet NSW Softball Team registration deadline.

A team list cannot exceed 16 players (minimum of 12 players). Should registrations exceed this number then preference will be given in order of date of registration and to players born in the top age bracket for each competition. 

Age Eligibility: Under fourteen (14) years of age, and no younger than ten (10) years of age, as at 31 December 2022.

Payment
The cost of the carnival is $165* per athlete - this covers Championship entry fee, match balls, umpire costs and Softball ACT.

Once teams are confirmed, an invoice will be sent that will with a seven (7) day payment requirement. Player fee is non-refundable should the team withdraw from the Championship as Softball NSW do not provide a refund. 

The current COVID-19 situation brings high level of uncertainty regarding events proceeding and may result in last minute cancellation. The situation will be closely monitored by Softball ACT and a decision may be made not to travel to the tournament closer to the date. 

Softball NSW acknowledge further rescheduling of Championship dates or possible cancellation of the Championship dependent upon future government advice in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Families are to arrange their own travel and accommodation (noting the high potential for last minute Championship cancellation when booking).  

*If you are not currently registered with an ACT Softball Club, then there will be an additional registration charge (also includes all fees and credit card charges).
