AUSTRALIA DAY 2023

Softball ACT runs an Australia Day Carnival annual event for juniors to play teeball or softball.

Canberra Pride enter teams into the Carnival. Players will be placed into teams in Teeball (U10) and Softball (U12 and U14 divisions), for both Girls and Boys. Teams from surrounding NSW areas such as Wagga Wagga, North Shore, Campbelltown and Victoria teams will attend the carnival. Teams will play approximately 8 games over the weekend (depending on if the team makes finals). 

Canberra Pride is a participation-based program for enjoyment and development of Teeball/Softball players. You can email Canberra Pride for more information.

Carnival Date: Friday 20th to Sunday 22th January 2023

Location: Hawker International Softball Centre

Registrations  will close 19 December 2022.

Players must be under the competition age as at 31 December 2023. A team list cannot exceed 16 players (ideally preference is for a team of 12 players). Should registrations exceed this number then preference will be given in order of date of registration and to players born in the top age bracket for each competition. 

Payment
The cost of the carnival is $60 per athlete - this covers team match balls and carnival entry fees. The umpiring fee is waived for Canberra Pride teams as players are required to do two volunteer duty throughout the carnival. 

Please note that whilst payment is mandatory, this will be refunded if we cannot provide an opportunity for your child to participate in the day (ie cancellation or that division does not have teams). If things change with regards to COVID and access, we will have to remain flexible and understanding of the limitations. 

*If you are not currently registered with an ACT Softball Club, then there will be an additional registration charge (also includes all fees and credit card charges). 

Any player withdrawls must be via email to Canberra Pride. Fee is non-refundable from 1st January 2023.
