The Canberra Pride program is for all Softball ACT players interested in developing their skills and participating in teeball and softball at various locations.

 

Softball ACT is seeking an enthusiastic person to fill the role of Canberra Pride Program Administrator. The position will be initially filled for 12 months with the possibility of a 12-month extension.

 

This is a Volunteer position reporting to the Operational Manager of Softball ACT.

 

The successful candidate will have functional responsibility for the administration of the Canberra Pride program, which includes:

 

• Planning the annual calendar of carnival attendance;

• Coordinating the appointment of coaching and administrative staff for teams;

• Liaising with Softball ACT around training bookings;

• Liaising with Softball ACT for budgets and costs for athletes;

• Organising players into teams (in consultation with coaching staff);

• Coordinating umpires for teams

 

The successful applicant will be expected to operate in an environment of transparency with a clear mandate to make the program more successful each year.

 

Ideally, we are seeking someone with the following:

 

• Demonstrated sports administration experience;

• Demonstrated volunteer management experience;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to interact and manage a variety of stakeholder relationships;

• Strong organisation and multi-tasking skills, with high levels of attention to detail, and;

• Working with Vulnerable People (ACT) clearance

 

Desirable - • First Aid certificate
