Yesterday marked the last day of Nathan Woodward’s tenure at Softball ACT, where he had carriage of the preparation and maintenance of the Hawker International Softball Centre’s skinned diamonds and a raft of other general tasks.
Nath’s been involved with Softball for a number of years as a volunteer, and stepped up in August 2018 to a casual paid role on a temporary basis whilst we got our house in order around staffing requirements when our previous groundsman Tim Cousins moved on.
Nath’s biggest asset is his drive to help put on a tremendous tournament, and could always be found helping the statisticians / umpires / teams / players with whatever they needed.
With a desire to work in the horticulture industry into the future, Nath’s experiences with Softball ACT in managing our facility over the summer will be a huge boost to his resume, and we can see the potential in the young man he will become.
Softball ACT’s staff and Board would like to thank Nathan for the work he’s done for the Association over the last 8 months, and hope that he remains a key member of our community into the future.
