2021-22 Softball ACT season is set for launch

Published Thu 18 Nov 2021

Despite COVID restrictions and inclement weather making life difficult, Softball ACT are anticipating a bumper season of softball over the coming months.

After the opening round of competition was cancelled last week due to rain, our Junior and Women’s competitions kick off proceedings on Saturday, with the Men hitting the diamond this Monday and Tuesday.

25 teams will compete across four grades in the Women's League, while 10 teams across three grades go head-to-head in the Men's League.

22 teams across Under-8s, Under-10s, and Under 12s will compete in juniors, with another 8 teams in Div 1 and Div 2.

In all, the 2021-22 season will take place over 13 weeks of competition, with a minimum 15 games per team, apart from U8s, U10s, and U12s who play to a reduced schedule.

All games take place at Hawker International Softball Centre, and a full fixture can be found here: https://www.act.softball.org.au/games/
