Unfortunately, due to the uncertainty surrounding travelling and border restrictions created by the current COVID-19 situation, Softball ACT (SACT) regret to announce that the 2022 Australia Day Carnival has been cancelled.

However, the cancellation now allows SACT to focus on the Diggers Cup, which is a participation event to be held alongside the National Championships.

• Dates: Saturday 23 – Sunday 24 April 2022.
• Venue: Hawker Softball Centre
• Ages: U10s-U12s, Boys & Girls.
• Format: Fully Loaded
• Cost: $475 per team. Teams must also supply an umpire.
• Registration: 2022 Diggers Cup – Team Registration

With the National Championships in April and May for U14s to U18s, the focus for the Digger’s Cup will be on the U10-U12s age groups.

In place of the Australia Day Carnival, SACT will also host a Canberra Pride community event for our local members. This will involve mixed teams of various ages, to allow more players to be involved over the weekend.

• Ages: U10-U18s, Boys & Girls.

SACT will run a variety of events across the Canberra Pride weekend, with highlights including:

• 7-a-side teams
• Fully Loaded format
• Base running
• A slip n’ slide
• A jumping castle
