Members Update

We hope that you and your family are safe and well during this extended lockdown. We say it often, but there is nothing more important than the health and safety of our community members and their families. At this time, we urge everyone to please follow the health advice and look to get vaccinated at your earliest opportunity.

2021/22 Summer Local Season

Softball ACT Board and Office are committed to do everything possible to ensure a great season is had by all members and that we get as many games in as possible.

We are considering additional time slots, additional diamonds, tournament style weekends and may consider some games during the week to ensure we get the minimum 15 games/rounds in.

With additional timeslots and additional games we will require greater assistance from our clubs to complete umpiring duties, canteen and ground set up, it will be an all-hands-on deck approach to ensure the 2021/22 season is achievable.

As more information regarding the Return to Sport policy becomes available from ACT Sport & Recreation we will keep you updated.

For now, we encourage all members to register with your respective clubs to ensure we have a good sense of team numbers to ensure a draw can be developed and we can all be back on the diamond sooner rather than later.

ACT Members that Reside in NSW

We understand that some of Softball ACT’s members reside in NSW and the uncertainty of NSW Government regulations around Regional NSW continues to grow. We will work with individuals and their clubs to ensure communication around these restrictions are known and how registration for the season will be handled.

2022 National Championships - Postponed

Softball Australia in consultation with Member States and Territories have postponed the 2022 National Championships until April-July 2022.

All ACT players and officials who completed an online expression of interest earlier this year were emailed advising of the postponement and the pending survey to be completed.

If you are interested in being a part of the 2022 National Championships and you are yet to complete a Players Expression of Interest please do so before 30th September 2021. This will ensure any correspondence in relation to National Championships will be forwarded to you directly.

Age groups for the 2022 National Championships will remain as is, so the Under age groups will be your age as of 31st December 2021.

Softball ACT along with the appointed State Team Head Coaches will be meeting shortly to discuss a training plan for all our teams leading into April-July 2022.

Softball Australia Member Benefits

In the coming weeks Softball Australia will be launching a series of Member Benefit programs that only members registered through RevSport can attend. These events will be RSVP Registered Members only events.
