Thanks to Everyone Involved in the Canberra Pride Community Event
Published Mon 24 Jan 2022
Softball ACT would like to give a huge thank you to everyone involved in the Canberra Pride Community Event over the weekend.
More than 100 people turned out for the event over Saturday and Sunday to enjoy the attractions on offer, as Competitions and Event Manager Georgia Duffy explained.
“Aside from the junior Canberra Pride games, we had a jumping castle and slip n’ slide for the kids, and our showcase game featured ACT Open Men and U23s players. I’d also like to give special thanks to Sweet Heat Softball, who travelled from Sydney to support the event.
“Obviously, it was disappointing to cancel the Australia Day Carnival a few weekends ago, but to have everyone come together at short notice and put on such an amazing event says a lot about out softball family. The weekend really was a total success.”
Softball ACT would also like recognise and thank all our volunteers who worked tireless to help stage the event. Special thanks goes to the Hawker Men's Shed who manned the BBQ all weekend. Without them we wouldn't have been able to run the BBQ.
