We are incredibly proud to be hosting two events for the 2022 National Championships here at Hawker Softball Centre next month. Our ACT Open Men will be out to defend their title, while we also host the next generation of softball superstars in the Under-14s.

However, hosting the Nationals is a huge logistical undertaking, and we are seeking help from our community so we can run smooth and well-organised events.

Event Info:

While any assistance is greatly appreciated, we especially need volunteer help in the following areas:

• Ground Maintenance: Are you good at yard work? Can you handle a broom or rake? We need a ground maintenance crew throughout both events, but especially during the Under-14s, as we will be running three Diamonds over four days.
• Scoreboard Operators: Aside from having a great view of the field, scoreboard operators require minimal training, and you'll feel right in the heart of the action.
• Canteen: Keep participants and spectators fed and watered by assisting in the canteen. Interact with everyone at the event, from players and coaches, to staff and umpires.
• Ground Announcers: Announcers play an important role in informing participants about what's going on at an event, but it's a fun and easy way to get involved, even if you've never done it before.
• Live Streaming: People from around Australia will watch the live stream of games on our main diamond, so if you are tech-savvy or have experience with live streaming, we need your help!
